Zoo Taiping & Night Safari have been part of every Perakian’s childhood memories. Being the one and only legendary and the biggest zoo in Perak, they are celebrating their 65 years of history making in wildlife conservation, education and recreation.

The celebration will take place on 25 April 2026 (Saturday) from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM at the zoo’s pavilion area. Visitors can expect a full day of engaging programmes designed for all ages. With tons of activities organized filled with family-friendly activities, educational experiences, and exciting events throughout the day.

Among the highlights is the ‘Jejak Kembara Renjer ZNTS’ programme, running from morning 9 PM until 4 PM in the evening. Throughout this programme, participants will take a guided tour of selected animal exhibits, listen to sharing of interesting facts and wildlife conservation information, deepening the role of zoos in education and conservation aspects, and interact more closely through question and answer sessions with rangers. Do take note that this programme requires a fee and each participant will receive an official event shirt, Zoo Taiping entry ticket, food, and exclusive souvenirs are also available.

Families with children can also look forward to a colouring contest at 2 PM, making the event both fun and interactive for younger audiences. With a participation fee of RM15, there are various prizes to win from money prizes, ZNTS discounts voucher, participation certification and trophy. Participation is open to kids aged 7-9 years old for category A and kids aged 10-12 years old for category B.

As the evening sets in, participants can join the 65th Anniversary Fun Run, from 8 PM to 10 PM for 2.5KM within the Taiping Zoo. Online registration form for the event has been closed. Direct registration at the counter is still open for interested participants.

Throughout the day, there will also be exhibitions and sales booths, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to explore. Do look out for animal enrichment sessions and also a talk session with zoo personnel when you are exploring.
