About IPOHGOERS

"Follow the vibe, Follow the city"

We are pleased to introduce IpohGoers, an independent, community-focused journalism brand based in Ipoh. Our mission is to introduce Ipoh in a deeper and more meaningful way by focusing on the people of Ipoh and amplifying their voices.

IpohGoers highlights stories from within the local community, including individuals, small businesses, companies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), clubs, and community groups. We aim to document and share authentic narratives that reflect the culture, values, and growth of Ipoh. Our content primarily focuses on short documentary-style interviews, question-based features, and visual storytelling.

We also place strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, community outreach efforts, and collaborations that contribute positively to society. As an independent journalism brand, IpohGoers is committed to ethical reporting, authenticity, and respectful representation. We believe that meaningful storytelling can foster stronger connections within the community and create greater appreciation for Ipoh as a city and a home.

Meet the Founders

Nur Nabilah (Bella)

Founder & Planning Manager

I’m Nur Nabilah (Bella), a Mass Communication (Honours) in Journalism graduate who’s really into storytelling and building cool, community-driven platforms. I’m the founder of IpohGoers alongside with my friend Kartina (Ebby). Here at IpohGoers, I work with my team to highlight local voices, creativity, and everything happening in the scene.

As the Planning Manager, I enjoy turning ideas into reality and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. I would say I’m proactive, creative, and very hands-on when it comes to bringing projects to life. I love working with people, creating meaningful content, and building spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and inspired.

Kartina Pang (Ebby)

Co-Founder

Hi! I’m Kartina Pang (Ebby), 25, and I recently graduated with a degree in Mass Communication (Hons.) in Advertising. After completing my university journey, I’ve learned so much through real-world experiences, which deepened my passion for graphic design and marketing.

I love creating intentional, detailed visuals that tell a story, and with both academic and practical exposure, I’m excited to keep growing as a designer and advertiser while exploring new opportunities to learn, contribute, and create meaningful work.

I’m also the co-founder of IpohGoers, along with my friend, Nabilah (Bella), where our goal is to help local small businesses and community voices be heard, while sharing the beauty and uniqueness of Ipoh with others.
